My First Lucid Dream Experience
Today I’ll share my first lucid dream experience with you. This happened when I was in deep sleep, late in the morning. I’ve been learning and exploring about lucid dreaming since last year, but after a few unfortunate incidents happened last year to me, I discontinued my journey. But, a few weeks ago, I began my exploration of lucid dreaming.
I was using the WILD technique of lucid dreaming in which you wake up before your actual waking up time and sleep again, reminding you that you are going to be awake in your dream. I set an alarm for 6 ’O clock and woke up at the exact time to stop the alarm. When I woke up, it was quite dark. When I was awake, my sleep was kind of 90% completed. The major thing inducing lucid dreams that I’ve learnt is that your sleep must be completed at approximately 80% to 90% to get your body fully relaxed and induce a well-lucid dream.
In the dream, I saw a big showroom that had a big nameplate. But its nameplate had not only one name but multiple names. There was only one showroom and they had different names. One of the three names was purely mismatched and the spelling was mistaken. I instantly noticed that the name "Teneshka" used here definitely should be "Tanishq". After noticing this name, I instantly asked myself if I was dreaming or not. In a few seconds, after I asked myself, I instantly noticed that, hurray, I’ve induced a lucid dream. And after 3 seconds, everything started to fade away and get blurred out. My mind felt a vibration like sensation that I’ve experienced so many times. If you are exploring lucid dreams, you’ll definitely notice a difference between the real world and the dream world.
The dream was really very vivid in terms of visibility. Somehow, dreams are less actual and can be fuzzy, but you can definitely differentiate between a normal and a lucid dream if you are reading about lucid dreaming. My dream was really short, but this gave me hope to continue my journey, and I believe that one day I’ll definitely be able to induce a fully controllable lucid dream.
All my friends who are reading this will also try lucid dreaming and will lose hope after some time. But I request all of you that you’ll definitely succeed in inducing lucid dreams one day. I also used to think that I wouldn’t be able to induce a lucid dream ever, but this gave me confidence that everyone can induce lucid dreams for sure. Never lose hope, guys. One day, you’ll definitely succeed.
